Mital began her career humbly, working as a beautician for Urban Company, offering home-based beauty services like makeup and hairstyling. “I always loved bringing out people’s confidence through makeup, but I wanted more. I dreamt of building something meaningful, especially as a single mother entrepreneur,” she shares.
Balancing her responsibilities as a single parent with her professional aspirations and commitments was difficult. “There were nights I felt overwhelmed, but I had to keep moving for my son. I wanted to show him that no dream is too big to achieve,” Mital says.
The Turning Point: Discovering Cosmetology Courses in India
During one of her home-service appointments, a client casually suggested, “Why don’t you explore laser skin treatments? They’re in demand now.” That small remark planted a big dream in Mital’s heart.
She started researching cosmetology courses in India and found a two-month program at a local skin clinic in Surat. “Those two months opened my eyes to the vast world of skincare treatments. I learned about acne scar removal, chemical peels, and other advanced procedures,” she recalls.
Determined to deepen her expertise, Mital moved to Delhi to pursue a postgraduate diploma in cosmetology. “It was a huge step, but I knew I had to invest in my education if I wanted to succeed in the beauty and skincare industry,” she says.
Challenges of Starting a Beauty and Skincare Clinic
After completing her education, Mital faced another hurdle: finding the funds to start her dream beauty and skincare clinic. “I wanted to be independent and set my hours, but the cost of equipment like LED skin machines and high-quality skincare products was daunting,” she recalls.

Future Plans for Shreeji Cosmetica
Mital dreams of expanding her clinic. “Right now, it’s just me and a receptionist, but I plan to hire a team of skilled professionals. I also want to bring the latest in cosmetology services to Surat,” she says.
