Vandana Bhatia’s Journey From Eezmytax to Healing Through Textured Art

Vandana Bhatia, founder of EezMyTax, built a 14-year career as a chartered accountant, helping clients across India and the world manage their taxes, and then, quietly, she built another life through Textured Art by Vandana that now helps people heal.

Today, she runs two businesses from Faridabad:

  • eezmytax.com, a tax consultancy serving domestic and NRI clients
  • Textured Art by Vandana, a growing art and workshop practice that blends creativity with therapy.

How her journey started

Vandana had already been working in NRI taxation when she moved to Pune in 2013 after getting married. She had to leave her job, but something unexpected happened.

Her clients didn’t leave her.

They called her directly and asked if she would continue handling their taxes on her own. They trusted her clarity, her transparency, and the way she explained things.

“I did not approach anyone. They came to me and said they wanted to continue with me, not the firm.”

That moment became her quiet yes to entrepreneurship.

What began as individual clients slowly became Eezmytax, a full-fledged online practice serving people from the US, Canada, Australia, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bangalore, and beyond. Everything runs through email, calls, and WhatsApp because for her, accessibility matters as much as expertise.

Motherhood, Loneliness, and a Breaking Point

Professionally, things were stable.
Personally, they were not.

Vandana became a mother while living away from her family, having already lost her own mother before marriage. With very little support, she found herself managing a newborn, a home, and a global client base at once.

“It was very difficult. I was all alone handling my child and my work commitments.”

There were moments when the weight felt unbearable.

But instead of stopping, she slowly found a new way to breathe.

How Art Entered Her Life

Vandana turned to art not as a hobby, but as survival.

Painting gave her something that numbers never could: stillness, release, and emotional healing. What began as a personal practice slowly turned into something more.

She started Textured Art by Vandana, began creating customized pieces, and soon started hosting workshops online and offline where people could come simply to feel lighter.

Participants told her they felt something they hadn’t felt in years.

Some said they used to paint as children.
Some said it felt like therapy.

“That made me even more happy that I was able to touch the lives of others through my art.”

Two Businesses, One Philosophy

Whether Vandana is filing taxes or guiding someone through textured art, her philosophy is the same:

Clarity. Transparency. Respect for the client.

“I sell experiences. In taxes and in art, people feel the difference in how I work.”

Her tax clients come through:

  • Website
  • Google Business
  • LinkedIn
  • Referrals built over 14 years

Her art clients find her through Instagram and workshops, and many come back because the experience stays with them.

The Mistake That Helped Her Learn And Grow Her Business

For years, Vandana did what many women founders do.

She underpriced herself, gave discounts, and offered free consultations.

And then she realized what it was costing her.

“You only attract clients who want concessions. People won’t value your work unless you value it first.”

Today, she prices her tax expertise and her artwork with intention and attracts people who respect both.

What She’s Building Now

Vandana’s focus for the next phase is clear:

She wants to scale her art practice:

  • Sell to premium collectors
  • Run more workshops
  • Build a real brand around textured art.

Time is her biggest constraint. But she is committed to growing this second business not just because it makes money, but because it heals people, including herself.

Business Growth

With an initial investment of around ₹1 lakh, she set up her first office and later invested further in building her website, eezmytax. Over the years, her practice has grown steadily and today generates consistent and satisfying revenue.

Alongside this, she has also been building her journey as an artist and art coach. In the last year alone, she has invested approximately ₹1.25 lakh in materials, learning, and workshops. While this creative venture is still in its early stages and has not yet reached the break-even point, it has already begun to show encouraging financial returns.

Vandana’s rulebook

Vandana has one message she repeats again and again: Stop doubting yourself.

“If someone else can do it, you can also do it.”

She believes women carry too much self-doubt, too much guilt, and too much pressure to do everything alone. Her advice is simple:

  • Delegate
  • Teach your children independence
  • And never shrink your ambition to make others comfortable

What Grounds Her

When things feel overwhelming, Vandana returns to one practice:

Gratitude.

“I just say thanks to the Almighty that I am living. Gratitude brings abundance.”
