MEET THE MAHILA- Featuring Dr. Mital Rathod, Founder – Shreeji Cosmetica

Dr. Mital Rathod, Founder - Shreeji Cosmetica. Surat, shares her journey as a single mother, entrepreneur, and skincare professional.

Q: Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your business?

A: My name is Dr. Mital Rathod, and I run a beauty and skincare clinic called Shreeji Cosmetica in Surat. I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel confident in their own skin, and turning that passion into a business was both exciting and challenging. Being a single mother, it wasn’t easy to juggle responsibilities, but I knew I wanted to build something meaningful—not just for me, but for my son as well.

Q: What’s the one thing that drives you

A: I’ve always loved bringing out people’s confidence through makeup, but I realized I wanted more than just a job—I wanted a purpose. I dreamt of creating something meaningful that could impact people’s lives and give me the freedom to shape my own journey. Being a single mother has made this drive even stronger; every step I take in building my business is also a step toward showing my son what’s possible when you believe in yourself.

Q: What kept you going during the hard times

A: There were definitely moments when I felt completely overwhelmed. Some nights, I questioned if I could manage everything on my own. But I kept going because I wanted to show my son that no dream is too big if you’re willing to put in the effort. Even in the toughest times, I reminded myself that persistence and resilience can carry you further than you imagine.

Q: What does success look like for you today

A: Success, for me, is seeing my clients leave my clinic feeling confident and happy, knowing that I’ve played a part in making that happen. It’s also about the journey—being able to build a career I’m proud of while balancing my responsibilities as a mother. Every little milestone, every satisfied client, and every lesson learned makes me feel grateful for how far I’ve come.

Q: Any words of wisdom for young women entrepreneurs out there?

A: Don’t let fear hold you back. The road will have challenges, but every small step you take matters and adds up over time. Seek out platforms and networks that support you—they can provide guidance, resources, and encouragement when you need it most. Most importantly, believe in yourself and your vision. You’re capable of turning your dreams into reality, one bold move at a time.
