A teacher at a junior college, Mayuri Patil has been making her students tech-savvy since 2014. This college caters to junior blind kids, which makes Mayuri’s job challenging. After deciding to run a business, Mayuri fixed her business model: She would buy incense sticks from wholesalers and sell them in her locality. Mayuri says, “We spiritual people begin and end our days with prayers. Incense sticks, playing a major role in our prayers, seemed always in demand. Thus, the product seemed a good fit.”
The savings from Mayuri’s job were not enough to start the business. Undeterred, Mayuri was determined to give her business a head start. She would then take over and run the business with the profits.
